Massachusetts Criminal &
Drunk Driving Defense Attorney
The Consultation Process
ONE = Do you have a criminal case? We only deal with criminal cases – nothing else. If you have a speeding ticket or red light violation we will not take your case. However, if your civil violation or citation is accompanied by a criminal charge (for example, Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Leaving the Scene of Personal Injury or Property Damage, Operating with a Suspended Driver’s License, etc.), then we would be happy to assist you with your case!
***Please note as a 100% criminal defense firm, we do not handle Landlord-Tenant, Divorce, Child Custody, DCF matters, Employment, Labor, Trusts and Estates, Personal Injury, or Civil Litigation of any type. Only criminal cases.****
TWO = What courthouse has jurisdiction over your case? We only take cases west of Worcester. If you are in Worcester County or east of there, we will not take the case. Therefore any courthouses in Hampden County, Hampshire County, Franklin County, and Berkshire County are all areas we service.
THREE = If you are not the Defendant facing the charges, please do not call us unless the Defendant is either (1) incarcerated or (2) there is a language barrier and you are calling to facilitate translating. Often times with criminal cases, time is of the essence. We will not go through 3rd-parties to relay information or conduct consultations.
FOUR = Please have a copy of the police report or citation ready to provide in order to schedule a consultation. Sometimes, the report is not accessible (which is okay) especially if an arrest recently occurred and a potential client has not been to court yet for their arraignment. If that is the case, we can still schedule a consultation. However, if you have been to court on your case, or you have a copy of the police report, the consultation will be far more effective if the paperwork is provided to our office BEFORE the consultation takes place.
WHAT IS DISCUSSED DURING THE CONSULTATION? – We offer a free 30-minute consultation which will cover a general overview of the criminal prosecution process, a summary of the specific charges and penalties you are facing, possible defenses to raise at trial for each offense, and a summary of the investigation strategy and discovery process to pursue. We will also field any questions that a potential client may have during the consultation. The entire consultation process is protected by attorney-client privilege even in the event you do not become a client of the firm.
